What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

Garden Lodge Guest House was the sixth episode of series 4 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5), which aired on 2008-08-14. Wikipedia's episode list says Alex Polizzi visited to try to transform the guest house and places it in Kent without naming a town. TheTVDB's episode page and Ranker's list both place it in Folkestone and describe a nine-bedroom guest house about two miles from the Channel Tunnel. Both say it should have attracted steady passing trade, but business was declining and the owners wanted help. Neither lists an outcome.

A web search run on 2026-10-19 for the guest house by name returned only episode-guide and streaming pages, among them TheTVDB, IMDb Pro, Prime Video and TVmaze. It found no trading website, news report or directory entry for a Folkestone guest house called Garden Lodge.

A Google Places lookup for the entry returned Sunny Lodge Guest House at 85 Cheriton Road, Folkestone CT20 2QL. Its website, whose footer carries a 2026 copyright, describes a Victorian property and does not mention Garden Lodge, an earlier name or the television programme, so this entry does not treat it as the same property. A dated review, council record or local news item naming Garden Lodge in Folkestone would settle the question.

A Google Maps listing checked 2026-10-20 shows Garden Lodge, a bed and breakfast at 324 Canterbury Road in Densole on the edge of Folkestone, marked permanently closed, with no reviews on the listing. Google's search for Garden Lodge Guest House in Folkestone returns this listing. No source read reports a later name or owner for the guest house.
