What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
Say Cheese was a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich shop in Toronto's Annex neighbourhood, featured in the You Gotta Eat Here! episode "Jack's, Wilbur & Sabastian, Say Cheese" (S3E18, Food Network Canada, aired 2014-06-06). TheTVDB's episode description says host John Catucci grilled a bulgogi and kimcheese sandwich. BlogTO's review page for Say Cheese says the shop opened in the Annex in the space that had been Mon Berri, run by the same owner, and lists sandwiches such as the Nacho Libre, a pulled pork and pasta sandwich and the Fungi Fixation at $5.50 each, along with bulgogi and kim-cheese options.
BlogTO's opening announcement, filed under 2012-10 in its web address, described gourmet grilled cheese at about five dollars. A restaurant named Say Cheese Restaurant in Cambridge, Ontario, serving Middle Eastern food, appears in Google Maps, but its menu and location differ, so it was not used for this entry.
City of Toronto business licence records list Say Cheese Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwiches at 341 Bloor Street West, licensed to Mon Berri Frozen Yogurt & Desserts Inc from 2009-09-30, with the licence cancelled on 2014-12-31. The same records list Chatime at that address, licensed from 2016-11-03 and again under a licence issued 2023-06-09, and a business named Alternity, licensed from 2026-04-01.
