In the episode 'Shine Café, Banh Mi Boys, Smoke & Spice Southern Barbeque' (aired 2013-03-15), TheTVDB's overview says chef Ryan Odette learned his techniques on a work-cation in Tennessee and serves Southern classics such as smoked, deep-fried bologna with coleslaw and a pulled pork sundae topped with barbecue rub. A Windsor Eats page said the restaurant planned to move to a new location in January 2012, after three years in business. AM800 CKLW reported on 2026-08-06 that the restaurant, on Tecumseh Road East near Lauzon Parkway outside Tecumseh Mall in East Windsor, and previously on Ottawa Street near Gladstone Avenue, announced on Facebook that it would close on August 30. The station quoted the owners as calling it 'not a quick or easy decision' and said customers with gift cards were urged to use them before August 30. The article mentioned no plan to relocate or reopen.
