What happened after Restaurant Impossible: Last Call (Food Network)?
ēst Restaurant is at 729 Queen Street East in Toronto's Riverside area, and OpenTable classifies its cuisine as contemporary French. It was the subject of “Caviar Dreams,” the third episode of Restaurant Impossible: Last Call (Food Network), the spin-off of Restaurant: Impossible (Food Network) hosted by chef Aarón Sánchez and Toronto restaurateur Jen Agg. The episode aired 2026-08-06.
The problems shown: Food Network's series page summarized the episode as an over-confident young chef who must face the realities of running a business. TVmaze's episode guide said the chef had high-end ambitions for his French restaurant and that Agg and Sánchez worked to bring him back to earth and show him the practical side of operating it.
On 2026-10-19 OpenTable's page for the restaurant listed diner reviews dated 2026-09-11, 2026-09-15, 2026-09-24 and 2026-10-03, and a reply from the restaurant to one of them dated 2026-10-04. The page listed dinner hours Tuesday through Sunday, 5 to 10 p.m., and two promotions: a weekly half-price wine offer and oysters on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The restaurant's own website, which carried a 2026 copyright notice, listed the same hours, with Monday closed. It said the restaurant serves seasonal tasting menus built on local ingredients, with signature cocktails and a wine program.
It also described a recently unveiled upstairs space for private events and select weekend service, offered a private dining package labeled 2026 and online gift certificates, and said dining room reservations open 60 days ahead through OpenTable for parties of up to eight guests. A Google Maps listing for the address showed it as operational the same day.
