What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

Appalachian Spring Bed and Breakfast, a farmhouse B&B in the countryside near Totnes, Devon, was the setting for the Hotel Inspector episode first shown on 2026-02-26 (series 21, episode 1). TheTVDB's entry says Alex Polizzi worked with owner Toni, who was trying to keep the business afloat in a bohemian part of Devon.

Totnes Today published an article on 2026-03-09 about the visit. It identified the business as Appalachian Spring B&B, in a 300-year-old farmhouse near Totnes, run by Toni (Antonia) Del Mar, a musician and music teacher who had earlier appeared on Channel 4's Four in a Bed. The article described a home that had become very cluttered, with two bricked-up windows and cob walls in two rooms, and an owner who described herself as uneasy with technology.

According to Totnes Today, a decluttering expert, Amber Gibbings, was brought in and Toni later paid her to carry on. A room called The Green Room was reworked with new blinds and curtains. Mark Annear, owner of the Cott Inn, helped the B&B get online, including setting up a Booking.com listing. Smaller changes included better mattresses, dressing gowns, a teapot and wardrobe hangers.

The B&B's own website, dartingtonbnb.co.uk, describes a traditional bed and breakfast in rural Dartington Village, shows a Hotel Inspector badge image and links to a booking page. Its page timestamp is 2026-02-24. A Google Maps listing for Appalachian Spring B&B at Copland's Corner, Dartington, Totnes TQ9 6DJ is marked operational; because the site and Totnes Today use the same name, the listing is treated as the same business. The sources read for this entry do not report a later change of owner or name.
