What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
The April 4, 2014 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! (Food Network Canada) featured Morris East in Halifax; Rotten Tomatoes' season-three listing names a breakfast pizza among the dishes in that episode. Morris East is a neighborhood restaurant built around fired pizza ovens, and according to the novascotia.com listing its chef-driven menus change twice a year, with takeout, patio seating, lunch specials, and gluten-free options. The listing places the Halifax restaurant at 1984 Vernon Street and mentions a second Morris East in Bedford. In October 2026 the restaurant's own website (morriseast.com) listed 2026 menus for the Halifax and Bedford locations, opening hours starting at 11:30 a.m., gift cards, catering, and a new retail shop for meals to go. The novascotia.com page carried an August 5, 2026 last-modified date and described the restaurant as open year-round. Both pages give the Vernon Street address for the Halifax restaurant.
