What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

Natchos Thai Thai Cafe, placed by the series in Toronto, aired under the episode title 'Nacho Thai Thai Cafe' as the ninth episode of Restaurant Makeover's third season, first airing on 2006-11-27. Rotten Tomatoes' episode guide describes it as a Thai restaurant getting a new design and a dinner menu, so the changes covered both the room and what was on offer in the evening. Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants names David Adjey as the chef and Meredith Heron as the designer, and it spells the name with a 'ch'; Rotten Tomatoes does not, and both spellings are kept in this entry.

The sources reviewed do not describe the cafe's condition when the team arrived, who owned it, what the budget was, what the new dinner menu contained or how the relaunch went. According to Wikipedia's article on the series, the owner's funds were matched up to $20,000 in the early seasons and up to $15,000 later, and most featured restaurants were in the Greater Toronto Area. No owner names or figures were found, and none are supplied here rather than guessed.

On the later history, Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants marks the cafe as no longer open and gives no year or reason; that is a lead from a show list, and no second source was found. A map lookup on 2026-10-19 returned a place labeled Thai cafe on Gainsborough Road in London, Ontario, which is a different city and a generic label rather than the featured name, so it was not used. Two web searches that day, one for the name with Toronto and one for either spelling with the word address, returned Thai restaurant roundups from Streets of Toronto and BlogTO, a CBC story about a different Toronto Thai cafe and other pages. None of the results was titled for the featured cafe, and none was relied on. No street address was established, so no map coordinates are recorded.

A Google Maps search for Natchos Thai Thai Cafe in Toronto, checked 2026-10-20, returned no listing for it, and no website or recent review was found that day. Wikipedia's table of Restaurant Makeover restaurants lists the cafe as no longer open.
