What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

Jeremiah's Bullfrog Cafe, in Toronto, was the sixth episode of Restaurant Makeover's third season and first aired on 2006-11-06. Rotten Tomatoes' episode guide describes it in one line, as a pub getting a makeover to expand its clientele. Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants names David Adjey as the chef and Jessica Cotton as the designer. According to Wikipedia's article on the series, the owner's funds were matched up to $20,000 in the early seasons and up to $15,000 later, which set the scale of the work the team could take on.

The only goal described in the sources reviewed is widening the pub's customer base. They do not say what the room looked like before the work, which problems the episode dwelled on, who the owners were, what changed in the menu, decor or staff, or how the relaunch went. No budget figure for this episode was found, and none is supplied here rather than guessed.

On the later history, Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants marks Jeremiah's Bullfrog Cafe as no longer open and gives no year or reason; that is a lead from a show list, and no second source was found. A Google Places lookup on 2026-10-19 for the name in Toronto returned Waterworks Food Hall at 50 Brant St, a business with a different name that was not used. Two web searches that day, one for the name and one pairing it with the words pub and address, returned pages that are not about the Toronto pub. They included Wikipedia's page for a Miami chef known as Jeremiah Bullfrog, which mentions no Toronto link, and a visit-Topeka listing for a bar in Kansas with a similar name.

City of Toronto business licence records list Jeremiah Bullfrogs Pub, operated by 1375115 Ontario Inc at 225 Queen Street West, licensed from 2003-02-11 until the licence was cancelled on 2008-05-13. According to the same records, the same company held a licence there for The Original Motorcycle Cafe from 2009 to 2011, and the address was later licensed to Wild Wing, Toronto Grill, Hakata Shoryuken and ARA Japanese Restaurant, with 4Ever Sushi licensed there since 2024-08-19.
