What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?

TVmaze's listing for the episode "Uncle Betty's Diner, The Armview Diner, Pagliacci's" (S1E7, aired 2012-08-25) says host John Catucci ate eggs Benedict served on homemade donuts at Uncle Betty's Diner in Toronto. BlogTO's review page for the diner, which is now marked closed, described the dish as eggs Benedict on a Dreesen donut instead of an English muffin, priced at $12, and also listed a strawberry milkshake and an Ultimate Grilled Cheese stuffed with mac and cheese. Streets of Toronto published a coming-soon item in April 2011 about a diner with ice cream, doughnuts and comfort food planned for Yonge and Eglinton.

BlogTO reported in March 2020 that Ontario's emergency declaration had limited Toronto restaurants to delivery and takeout. Streets of Toronto's restaurant page, labeled current through 2024, lists the diner as permanently closed, and a Google Maps listing for 2590 Yonge Street, checked 2026-10-19, marks it permanently closed as well.
