According to TVmaze, season 1, episode 16 of You Gotta Eat Here!, aired 2012-09-12, showed host John Catucci ordering a 9-pound burger at Blondie's in Winnipeg; the episode, titled Blondie's, Little Place, Neighbours, also visited That Little Place by the Lights in Huntsville and Neighbour's Restaurant in Vancouver. A CTV News article on winnipeg.ctvnews.ca described Blondie's Burgers as the home of Winnipeg's nine-pound burger, on Main Street, also known for big burgers and strawberry shakes. The same article, which shows no publication year, reported that owner Sandy Doyle was retiring after 31 years in business, with a last day of January 15, and that customers who had decorated the walls could take their photos back. A Google Maps listing for Blondie's at 1969 Main Street, checked on 2026-10-19, is marked permanently closed and gives no closure date.
