The June 26, 2015 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! ('Geneva Crepe Bistro, Rebar, Culantro') explored the Peruvian menu at Culantro in Hamilton, Ontario, according to TVmaze's episode listing. I Heart Hamilton's April 2, 2013 post described Culantro Peruvian Cookery at 47 King William Street, which opened in January 2013, with chef and co-owner Juan Castillo making everything in-house. The post covered empanadas filled with quinoa, chicken or beef, a quinoa salad, sweet potato fries, aji amarillo mayo, and chicha morada, a drink built on purple corn, pineapple and spices.

Foursquare's page for Culantro Cookery in Hamilton's Beasley area labels it as now closed without a closure date; the latest dated photo on that page is from December 10, 2015. On 2026-10-19 a Google Maps listing for Culantro Peruvian Cookery at 537 Main Street East marked it as permanently closed.
