What happened after Ramsay's Best Restaurant?
Gordon Ramsay presented Mennula, a traditional Sicilian restaurant in London, alongside Bristol's Casamia as his two finest Italian restaurants in the first episode of Ramsay's Best Restaurant (Channel 4, 'Italian Restaurants', aired 2010-09-14), according to TVmaze's episode synopsis. Mennula was an Italian restaurant at 10 Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia, on the former site of Gennaro Contaldo's Passione, according to The Caterer's opening article (undated online). The Caterer named Santino Busciglio, formerly of Number Twelve, as head chef and co-owner with Joe Martorana, and described a contemporary menu influenced by Sicily, with smoked venison, sea bass ravioli and cannoli filled with sweet ewe's ricotta, plus a 100-bin wine list that was entirely Italian. A Google Maps listing checked on 2026-10-19 marks the business at that address as permanently closed.
