What happened after Ramsay's Best Restaurant?
Gordon Ramsay presented Prashad as a tiny vegetarian Indian restaurant from Bradford in the second episode of Ramsay's Best Restaurant (Channel 4, 'Indian Restaurants', aired 2010-09-21), paired with The Brilliant of Southall, according to TVmaze's episode synopsis. The Yorkshire Evening Post reported on 2026-08-14 that Prashad serves Gujarati food in Drighlington, between Leeds and Bradford, and that Kaushy and Mohan Patel founded it in 1992 as a small family shop and deli on Horton Grange Road in Bradford. Their son Bobby Patel runs it with his wife Minal, who leads the kitchen.
Prashad's own blog reported on 2025-03-12 that Minal Patel won Chef of the Year at the 2025 Oliver Awards in Leeds, and on 2026-10-13 it announced a 34th-anniversary scratch-card promotion running to 31 December. The restaurant's website listed Tuesday-to-Sunday opening hours and online table booking when checked on 2026-10-19.
