What happened after Ramsay's Best Restaurant?

The Brilliant of Southall was presented in the second episode of Ramsay's Best Restaurant (Channel 4, 'Indian Restaurants', aired 2010-09-21) as one of the biggest establishments in London, facing Bradford's Prashad, according to TVmaze's episode synopsis. EALING.NEWS reported on 2025-03-14 that Gulu Anand founded the Western Road restaurant in 1975, serving Punjabi food with a Kenyan influence, and that his daughter Dipna Anand became head chef and owner. Restaurant Online reported on 2025-03-12 that the Western Road restaurant's final service would be 4 April 2025, and that the family would open Brilliant Gastro, a fusion restaurant in the Green Quarter development in Southall, about a week later. Andy Hayler's review of Brilliant Gastro, dated 2025-05-21, gave its address as 1 Seva Drive and described it as the successor to the Brilliant, with a shorter, more modern menu.
