TheTVDB's episode guide lists the Smoken Bones Cookshack segment of the 2013-02-15 episode as a homemade spicy coiled sausage, a sweet and beefy Sloppy Joe, and ice cream coated in salty-sweet bacon brittle. The Times Colonist reported, in an undated article, that chef-owner Ken Hueston opened the original 74-seat Smoken Bones on Station Avenue in Langford in spring 2006, that En Route magazine ranked it 12th among Canada's top 20 new restaurants in November 2007, and that the B.C. Chamber of Commerce named him Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008. The same article described the Victoria restaurant as a 110-seat barbecue room in the Hudson building at 1701 Douglas Street, noted it had been featured on You Gotta Eat Here!, and reported that its doors were closed that week. A public Google Maps listing for Smoken Bones Cookshack at 1701 Douglas Street, checked 2026-10-19, marks the business as permanently closed.
