Wikipedia reports it was converted from flats to a hotel around 1969, that one owner ran it from 1996 to 2019, adding three guest bedrooms and rear terracing, and that it won a World Hotel Award for best UK luxury guest house in 2015.

Since then, Wikipedia's article reports the hotel was sold in 2019 to a new operator that ran it as a 15-bedroom boutique hotel with a residents-only bar, that it closed permanently in 2020, and that the building is now a private house.
