What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

The Central was a restaurant featured in the Restaurant Makeover episode aired on 2007-12-03. The series, shown on HGTV Canada and Food Network Canada, paired a chef with a designer to overhaul a struggling restaurant on a limited budget, with the owner's funds matched by the production. Wikipedia's list of Restaurant Makeover restaurants pairs chef Corbin Tomaszeski with designer Brenda Bent for this episode, gives no location for the restaurant and marks it as still open, with no date or source for that mark.

Rotten Tomatoes' one-line synopsis says the team redid the decor, updated the menu and used every available trick to help the restaurant succeed. TV Guide's season listing carries no description for the episode at all. These two short items are the only episode details found. The sources read do not name the owners, describe the restaurant's problems, list the new dishes, give a budget or describe the relaunch. Rotten Tomatoes lists the episode tenth in the season, between the Bulldog Cafe episode aired on 2007-11-26 and the Richmond Rogue episode aired on 2007-12-10, and TV Guide's season list gives the same tenth position. Both sites describe that fourth season as 26 episodes long.

Wikipedia's list places most of the other restaurants in that season in Toronto, but the entry for this one is blank, so the sources read do not confirm the city. A search for a restaurant named The Central together with the show returned only general pages about Restaurant Makeover and no news article, review or directory page naming both.

City of Toronto business licence records list Central Jazz and Supper Club, operated by 2113393 Ontario Inc at 603 Markham Street in Mirvish Village, licensed from 2006-10-18, about a year before the episode aired, until its last licence was cancelled on 2017-12-11. The same records show no food business licensed at that address afterwards. It is the only licensed restaurant named Central in the city's records for that period with a matching name, though no source read names the show.
