What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

The Restaurant Makeover episode titled "Bon Vivant" aired on Food Network Canada on 2009-04-02, the thirteenth and last episode of the fifth season in the Rotten Tomatoes guide. That guide gives it the same general line it gives several other episodes: two restaurant industry top guns overhauled a struggling restaurant. Wikipedia's list of the show's renovated restaurants places the restaurant in Toronto. Neither source describes the cuisine, the owners, the problems the restaurant had, the changes to the menu, decor or staff, the budget, or the relaunch, so none of those details appear here.

Wikipedia's table, which is compiled by editors and was used only as a pointer, marks the restaurant as no longer open and adds a note giving 2013 as the closing year. The page cites no source for that note, and no news article, listing or owner statement read for this entry confirms the year or the closure. Two web searches, one pairing the name with Restaurant Makeover and a 2013 closing and one looking for a Toronto street address, returned Wikipedia's show page, forum threads about other makeover restaurants, and articles on unrelated Toronto restaurants. None described a restaurant called Bon Vivant.

A Google Places search for the featured name returned a listing called Bon vivant catering, shown only as Queen St W with a postal code and no street number. The name adds the word catering, nothing read links the listing to the restaurant from the episode, and without a street number it does not identify premises, so its address and coordinates were not used.

Media in Canada described Restaurant Makeover at its launch as a Food Network Canada series in which two well-known industry figures take on a struggling restaurant and overhaul it. That format, the 2009 air date and the one-line guide entry are the only documented facts about this episode in the material read. The restaurant's fate rests on the Wikipedia table's unsourced note alone, so no status is asserted here.

City of Toronto business licence records list Bon Vivant Casual Fine Dining, operated by 1570001 Ontario Inc at 1924 Avenue Road, licensed from 2003-06-11 until the licence was cancelled on 2013-09-11. According to the same records, a food business called Kindhuman was licensed at the address from 2013-11-27 to 2018-02-27.
