What happened after The F Word: Britain's Best Local Restaurant?
The Curry Corner, a family-run Bangladeshi restaurant on Fairview Road in Cheltenham, lost the Indian heat of Britain's Best Local Restaurant on Gordon Ramsay's The F Word (Channel 4) in the episode "Indian Restaurants" shown on 2009-11-10, scoring 64 out of 100 against 76 for Lasan, according to Wikipedia. Soglos reported that the restaurant began serving Cheltenham in 1977, is run by head chef and owner Shamsul Krori with his daughter Monrusha, and that Ramsay praised its food on the show. In an undated article that refers to 2024 events, Soglos reported that the dining room fully reopened that winter after an extended closure, with takeaway continuing in the meantime, and that the restaurant held two AA Rosettes for 2024. The restaurant's own website, read on 2026-10-20, listed opening hours from Tuesday evening, an online ordering link and a Finalist badge for The F Word, and cited two AA Rosettes for 2024/2025 and the 2024 MICHELIN Guide.
