What happened after The F Word: Britain's Best Local Restaurant?
The French Table, a French restaurant on Maple Road in Surbiton, Greater London, appeared in the French heat of Britain's Best Local Restaurant on Gordon Ramsay's The F Word (Channel 4) in the episode "French Restaurants" shown on 2009-11-17. Wikipedia's series table lists it at 65 out of 100 against 72 for Bouchon Bistro of Hexham and does not list it among the semi-finalists. According to the restaurant's own website, Eric and Sarah Guignard opened it in summer 2001; the site also quotes a 2022 AA Inspector review praising its breads, pastry, service and wines, and mentions a sister bakery, The French Tarte, next door.
Time Out, on a page dated 2016-03-16, described it as a French cafe-cum-restaurant in Surbiton. When read on 2026-10-20, the website listed lunch and dinner service from Tuesday to Saturday, a booking page that takes card details, and an OpenTable Top 100 Romantic Restaurants 2026 badge.
