What happened after The F Word: Britain's Best Local Restaurant?

Lola Rojo, a Spanish restaurant at 78 Northcote Road in Battersea, lost the Spanish heat of Britain's Best Local Restaurant on Gordon Ramsay's The F Word (Channel 4) in the episode "Spanish Restaurants" shown on 2009-12-08, scoring 61 out of 100 against 74 for El Gato Negro, according to Wikipedia, which does not list it among the semi-finalists. Restaurant Online reported on 2012-10-16 that husband-and-wife owners Antonio Belles and Cristina Garcia had run Lola Rojo for six years and had appeared on Ramsay's search for the country's best local restaurant; the article announced a second restaurant and bar on Northcote Road. Time Out lists Lola Rojo as a Spanish restaurant at the Northcote Road address and carries a note, added by its editors in November 2018, saying it had closed. A public listing checked on 2026-10-19 also marks the restaurant permanently closed.
