What happened after The F Word: Britain's Best Local Restaurant?

Bouchon Bistrot, a French bistro on Gilesgate in Hexham, took the French heat of Britain's Best Local Restaurant on Gordon Ramsay's The F Word (Channel 4) in the episode "French Restaurants" shown on 2009-11-17, scoring 72 out of 100 against 65 for The French Table of Surbiton, according to Wikipedia, which spells the name Bouchon Bistro and does not list it among the semi-finalists. The restaurant's own website describes country-style French cooking with daily specials, tucked just off Market Square, with three dining spaces following a refurbishment in 2021. It names owner Gregory, originally from the Loire Valley, and says head chef Nico has been with the Bouchon family for over nine years. The website, last modified 2026-07-06, listed lunch and dinner service from Tuesday to Saturday, with Sunday and Monday closed, and linked Christmas menu files uploaded in September and October 2026.
