What happened after The Hotel Inspector?
Sunnyside, a small B&B at 36 King Edward Avenue in the North Shore area of Blackpool, was the third episode of series 5 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5), which aired on 2009-07-20. Wikipedia's episode list gives the title as Sunnyside Hotel / Langtrys Blackpool and says the owners planned a refurbishment but would not take up Alex Polizzi's suggestions.
Marketing Lancashire reported on 2009-07-14, before the broadcast, that the six-bedroom B&B, by then known as Langtry's and formerly Sunnyside, had been followed by the programme's cameras during its makeover. The article names the owners as Julie Sayers and David Webb and says the B&B had received a five-star accreditation and been officially opened with the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackpool present. It does not describe the visit itself.
The B&B trades today as Langtrys. Its website, read on 2026-10-19, gives the address as 36 King Edward Avenue, North Shore, Blackpool FY2 9TA, describes a newly refurbished luxury bed and breakfast and links to an online booking portal. The site carries a 2023 copyright and image uploads dated 2023 and February 2025, but no 2026-dated content. It does not name the current owners and does not mention the earlier name or the programme. A hotel-comparison page for Langtrys lists the property as adults only, with a score of 10.0 from 100 verified ratings and no individual review dates. A Google Maps listing checked on 2026-10-19 marks Langtrys operational.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
